High Output, Inc. is a premier supplier of production services and equipment for film, television, theatre, and events, with offices in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, Georgia, and South Carolina. Founded in 1986 with an emphasis on state-of-the-art technology and superior customer service, High Output supports feature film, television, theatre, live music, political events, corporate meetings, fundraisers, parties, and much more. We also design and install technologically advanced permanent lighting, AV, and rigging systems in venues of all kinds, and operate five sound stages for film and television production.

President & Founder
John Cini

Raised in the Washington, DC area, John has made the Boston area his home since graduating from Wesleyan University. His entire professional career has involved lighting, first as a theatrical designer, then as a film gaffer, and ultimately guiding the growth of High Output, which builds on those interests by supporting a wide range of visual arts and entertainment projects.

John believes that the success of High Output is the result of the talented team that the firm has been able to attract, mentor, and retain. He finds value in promoting from within our ranks and is proud of the number of co-workers celebrating 10, 15, and even 25 years of service.

Throughout his career, John has understood that volunteer service is essential to the health of our professional and residential communities and remains committed to using his experience and resources to further the goals of the groups he supports. He continues to serve as a board member at the Massachusetts Production Coalition, the Entertainment Services & Technology Association, Brighter Boston, and the Huntington Theatre Company.

COO & Founder
Jim Hirsch

Jim is a 1981 graduate of Syracuse University with a major in Communications. In 1986 he co-founded High Output, Inc. where he has been able to utilize his creative and technical experiences to meet the varied needs of a broad-based clientele.

In addition to management responsibilities at High Output, Jim is regularly called upon to design lighting for television shows and commercials.

Jim also manages events that vary from corporate meetings to political rallies and is often sought out by the White House Communications Agency and various campaigns.

You will also find Jim riding his bike both participating in and volunteering for the Pan Mass Challenge, the most successful sports fund raiser in the country.
