High Output is proud to use our lighting design and event production experience to create one-of-a-kind educational opportunities for students. Our state-of-the-art equipment and large network of talented professionals enable us to provide exciting and hands-on internships for students of any skill level.

The chance to help create a professional show or event is a profound experience that builds confidence, encourages creative problem solving, and rewards hard work. High Output is often able to include our interns in the production process of at least one show, and give them shared responsibility for the final product. For example, a student might work as Assistant Master Electrician or followspot operator. We choose the shows that are most suitable, and secure full client approval and support. High Output also supports lighting workshops and seminars for students, both at High Output’s facilities and at schools and community venues.

High Output can create a tailored internship for any high school or college student that wants to learn. We also partner frequently with Brighter Boston, a nonprofit organization dedicated to giving students work opportunities in the arts. If you work at a school, educational program, or arts organization and would like to get involved, we are always open to creating new programs and partnerships.
