The Fisher–Wise wedding was located on two different sites on a privately owned farm. The event started with the rehearsal dinner, which was held in the lantern-lit main barn. Soft white draping and hay bale seating complimented the venue’s décor.
The main reception took place in a pole style tent with custom parquet flooring, which we built atop a tennis court next to the property’s trellis-filled gardens. The tent was equipped with a custom built trellis that matched the surrounding gardens, and was draped with freshly picked hops. Rustic patina candle chandeliers hung over each dining area. The lighting in the tent was subtle and elegant to maintain the feel of a romantic outdoor evening, and the canopy was covered with a delicate field of stars. Each table was highlighted, and the seating area was washed with a simple organic combination of whites and amber hues to simulate moonlight coming through treetops.
For the after party, the event once again moved back to the farm’s main barn. Using bold colors, moving lights, and sharp graphic textures, the space was transformed into a fun club-like atmosphere, perfect for dancing!
In addition to the lighting and design, High Output also supported much of the wedding from behind the scenes. For example, we provided two separate redundant generator set-ups for the split site and all the electrical distribution. Between the barn and the tent, High Output essentially powered two full-scale events at the same time.
“The result was beautiful. The landscape, the tent, the barn for both events was elegant and exactly what the designers had hoped it would be. After being up to your ears for days working on a project, you can often lose sight of what the result is meant to look like. But, once all the hours of cabling, hanging lanterns, lighting, the focusing, trucking back and forth from site to site, scaling rafters and ladders is done, you get to step back in a bit of awe. To see that everything is exactly where it should be, and what it is meant to be, the result is absolutely fantastic.”
